Hi, been pretty busy with life recently so haven't been that active, but the Tank is doing well.
I'm clearing some items out, and I will be giving away a new BRS 2 part kit, I'm pretty sure all items are there as I haven't use any part of the kit. I'm only available on Saturday late morning...
Maybe cut down feeding a bit. I do think if WC do not help lower the NItrates then some other factor is causing it to remain high. If I remember correctly, nitrates are the end result from ammonia, so something is significantly adding more then the biopellets can handle.

When I started my tank, I experienced this as well. It seemed as everything was good, parameters were in line, but I wasn't able to keep anything well. I kept up with water changes, increased to 2x a weekend making sure salinity and temp matched. I left everything alone, no dosing no...
Not sure how true this is, but I did read that if you backfeed the power line from a generator and injure or worse kill a lineperson, you might be liable. So please make sure the main is off if you do have to tap into the main panel for what ever reason.
A google search for your generator and "gas to propane conversion" will find you a number of companies. I also read a number if RV forums as they as a group seem to do these coverts often.

Also make sure you drain the gas or use fuel stabilizer to prevent the gas from going bad in the tank.
As previously post, I'm switch to a tri-fuel carburetor. A number of places sell them for all makes if generators. I'm going to have a plumber put an external natural gas line outside so I...
Things seems to be getting better, as power is restored stations are opening and gas trucks are making it way in. I think many people are still panic buying. I was filling gas cans for my generator today and I saw someone fill up and it was $15. I couldn't believe it, wait for close to 1...
Take the last number in your license plate. Tomorrow is the 3rd, so if your license plate is 283-abs, then you have a odd number "3". You can get gas tomorrow for your car. Plates with all letters are considered odd.
I haven't seen that walk up for gas canisters are any way limited.

Gonna try to hit up the Berkeley heights one tomorrow morning. Thanks. I'm down to 5 gallons. I will be shutting down at intervals tomorrow if gas continues to remain difficult to find.
Thanks all. Some are a bit far to drive.
I found #njgas is being updated.
Just ordered my tri-fuel converter for the generator. No good this time but this won't be the last time.
Anyone know which gasoline stations are open in the Summit/Union Area? I waited 1 hour to get $30 worth this morning in at the Gulf on Main in Chatham.
I'm down to 10 gallons and many are closed.
I'm also going to retrofit my generator in the future for propane or natural gas. In reading...
Try to get some flow and air in to the water. I've heard people taking a container and just scooping and creating a stream by pouring it in. Not sure if it worked thou.
Good luck.

Amazingly I still have power. My area typically goes out when it drizzles.
Neighbors tree (50 ft pine) just came down in front of their home. No damage other then the tree.
I have the kids in the lowest room in the house now, will prob sleep there tonight too.
Not sure, but it can't hurt. Surge protectors don't clean the power, only limit the peaks. Damage also occurs if there is a lack of power. I would use a UPS if available.

This is one major reason I purchased a Honda. It's very quiet.
I know there is mixed opinions on this, but be careful running sensitive electronics off contractor generators, the power produce is not clean, I think it's the sine waves(?) and potentially damaging to circuit boards. I'm sure...
If you can run the pump just get some air in the line, either buy have the output break the water surface or creating a vortex, so it gets sucked in. Flow, air and heat I think are the most important, possibly in that order.
Good luck.
