I battled low ph since the start of my tank a year and 1/2 ago. The only way for me to keep ph up was adding a kalk reactor. I tried 2-part for a bit but ended up over dosing and had a mini crash. Many use 2 part, but just need to be careful. Kalk is pretty much set it forget it in the ato.

I read, but not tried that if you point a power head at it, it will move and then release easier. Another one is make a RO/DI Ice cube and then touch the base. Use this at your own risk :nervous

There was a fairly length thread on RC about the use of it. If I recall the message, many people had success with it and was stating it was a much much cheaper dip given the concentration used and the cost.

I just did the same thing and used Joe's Juice. Worked well. Don't forget to protect your self with gloves, you don't want a trip to the ER.

Remember dips do not kill eggs. So even if you dip you are at risk unless you qt for about 2 weeks to see if egg hatch. Unless you know how to spot the eggs via a loupe or a good set of eyes, I don't so I qt my coral now. I dip then, into a small qt tank.

FYI. There are reports that in some instances the bearings slide right off so if you are going to do this try before you go out and get a puller.

Red- I got the bearing from a site called vxb.com. eBay for the puller. It was about 65, but worth not damaging the center piece. There were a number of dyi's on how to get the bearings off, but I have no luck with those, I alway end up spending more money taken a short cut. Happy to lend...

I still think they are great. :). With only a 45 space is limited inside so the mp10 save a lot of space.

Yeah I agree now, but people on RC seem to have great success with simular bearings.

There is a thread on RC about switching the ball bearings. I'm going to be doing this soon as I ordered the bearings an should have them soon. I'll report the mod when I start it. I was going to do this a while ago but life got in the way.
