Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Teflon tape is so old school and prone for failure if not done right.
I have switched to rectorseal, and it has not failed and is pretty hard to mess up.

RC or Apex, either one is better then nothing. I think the best is to check out forums of the two, see what people are having and which "programming" makes more sense to you.
People have great things to say about each. I haven't seen too many jump from one to the other as once you have all...
Hi,
I run a 45 gal with a apex controller and I would not be able to stay in this hobby without it.
Almost every part of my system is run on it.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
I've been so busy, that I have not even kept up with my tank thread. Not much has happened in terms of new equipement or such. I haven't even really been getting new frags. Work has been keeping me very busy.
I was taking a few pictures around the house and took a FTS and then compared to...
How many times are you feeding? It is a known issue that when the Tunze turns on, it activates the pump for about 10 secs. I've asked if this could be prevented on the Tunze forum, and the rep said no. So I would not turn it on and off, just leave it on. I had the same issue last year when...
I would also recommend a Kalk reactor. I have my reactor feeding my ATO container via a BRS dosing pump. I'm not sure if its true, but I feel this limits my chances of an overdose if the pump starts to run endlessly.
One of the important items to look at is the total load in watts it can handle. So a 3500 watt can handle around 3500 watts at one time before getting over loaded. Fridges due to the motor have a high load on the start. I have a Honda EU6500iSas I wanted the inverter for clean power. I paid...
I'm glad your clown likes it.
Hawkeye - I used the blaster trick, i just kept a steady stream of water on it with a turkey baster (I didn't have an extra power head) and then i was able to get a corner of it's foot off the rock, after that it came off pretty easy.
My GTBA just split. I only have a 45 so, one has to go.
If you can pick it up today in Summit (Sunday Aug 19th) please send me a PM. Warning - You may need to assist in getting one off the rock :p
I'd be willing to take a frag (no Zoa's or hammers) but not required.
I had that problem with the skimmer i recently added, but I ran it for 2 days in a bucket of water with a bit of vinegar. I was told that there are oils on the skimmer from the manufactoring process. The soak and run in water/vinegar helps remove it.
You can also use a litermeter for consistent water changes. That's what I do. I have it in my basement pumping up to the living room so probably a run of 10 feet across and 8 feet up.
I'm a sporting clays shooter, completely different then going to a range. Its like the duck hunt video game but with a 12 gauge.
I use to shoot every weekend at a course in Leigh valley. Most who have tried get hooked.
I'd be happy to go out with anyone interested one weekend, but if...
+1 on the Glassholes. There seems to always be someone around willing to cut the glass for you if you are scared to do it.
I would also say not to do too much to fast, seems as lots of changes at one time tend to cause more headaches.
The primary concern is that the bottom of the tank is supported fully, meaning no high spots on the bottom edge causing the out of level condition. If you use shims just make sure that there is no high spots which get created by lifting one half of the stand.
