May be too strong for your tank, but my Eheim 1262 has been running 24/7 for 5 years straight (with the exception of Sandy and a couple other shorter power outages). They really are tanks. Just bought a Jaebo dc-6000 for use on another project. Looking forward to playing with it.

I have 2 rw-15s. One running perfect for 2 years. 1 running perfect for 6 months. I have been happy with them. RW and PP are essentially the same I believe. Only had 2 so my experience is anecdotal.

I hate seeing stuff like this. We bought 2 last year at the shore for my daughters. The only good news is, I have them in a pretty good environment and they are still alive after a year. Most of the time I hear from kids how they died within a few weeks (like the story says unfortunately).
