    Pnoy's Extreme Eye candy!

The only thing that annoys me is that I could NEVER take pics that good! Man, they are sweet. Very nice, Steve.

    Potter anyone?

You got it right. The Icewind Dale trilogy had more of the attributes of a vacuum cleaner than a series of books.

    Potter anyone?

Yeah, Drizzt was incorporated into a few games AFTER the character became well known in the Forgotten Realm series. As Phyl eluded to, these books are like Star Wars, in that the first 3 books written were actually number 4,5 & 6 in the series. After he wrote them, there was a lot of clamouring...

    Potter anyone?

You sure you have the right guy? I've read just about everything by him and I don't remember anything like that. You really have to give Homeland a shot. No D&D stuff AT ALL. He introduces a new race of beings in this series that has been incorporated into the whole genre. The one thing I think...

    The tile bit should work.

diy overflow mounted on back of tank

I cut holes in a 55 with 1/2" glass using a dremel tool and straight diamond bit. Oh, it took a while but it worked! The secret I found is to go around the cut line a few times to create a shallow channel. Then do a plunge cut to create a hole (do this slowly with very little pressure, keeping...

diy overflow mounted on back of tank

That's how our 125g frag tank is. It's OK for a frag tank and I'd imagine with some cleaver aquascaping you could make it work for a display tank. The problem is that the bottom of your tank may have tempered glass, making it impossible to cut.

I disagree . . . . Oh shoot, Phyl beat me to it! What she said.

diy overflow mounted on back of tank

Here is a pm I got from Steve a while ago when I was planning on doing this to one of my tanks: The overflow was going to go on the side of the tank, where the dimensions are 18" deep by 24" tall. The reason to use glass is because the silicone doesn't really stick too well to...

    sump advice

I posted this a pic a while back. This is how I made the baffle that the water goes under. I left the 2 legs on it so I didn't have to worry about wedging anything under it. To get the proper spacing between baffles, I just drew vertical lines on the tank with a Sharpie and made sure the...

Thought I'd Pop In And Say Hello...

Hi Reefitup to NJRC! We're glad you found us. Lurk as long as you like but feel free to do some posting to! (I like your negotiating tactics, btw!)

    Borrow a pump

I think she meant that you could buy a 24 impeller (not 18). What that means is you can buy just the impeller for a Mag 24 and replace the Mag 18's impeller with it. It doesn't boost the pump all the way up to a Mag 24 but will probably get you close to what a Mag 21 would be if they made one...

    Big AIPTASIA PROBLEM

I wouldn't worry too much about that. They are fairly tidy eaters! They generally do a very good job of keeping it in check.

    rr or not?

One of our members (Steve68) has fantastic site that does a great job of walking you through the steps he took to convert one of his tanks to an external overflow. Here is the link to Steve68's DIY overflow box HTH.

    rr or not?

Not really. The best of both worlds is an external overflow box. There is little chance for failure and there's nothing in the tank. The only downside is that you can't put the tank right up against the wall, which wouldn't be a problem for you.

    SUPER COOL New FRAG!!

Congrats Billy and Jenn! Definitely the best type of frag you can have.

    Whats happening to my Lobo

Our lobo's do like a moderate flow, however they are fairly intolerant of a direct flow. They'll do well just about anywhere in the tank except in the direct line of a power head. I'm not sure where yours is located but it's something to keep in mind. Good luck with it. As an aside, I agree...

    ID help.

If it is, I would say you should get rid of it. There's a lot of mixed emotion about this topic too, so you may get a number of opposing views. I have two or three of them in one tank and they've never been a problem at all. Others, however, have had some bad experiences with them. Generally...

    ID help.

If you're talking about that small brownish thing in the front left, it could be a small closed up mojano maybe. Just a guess, though, because it's kind of hard to tell.
