Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Oh, I picked right up on that! As soon as I saw them I thought "Uh huh, that's an Oceanic door all right!"
It really looks great Mike. I love the stuff you do with the those scrolly decoration things.
The bodies on ours extend pretty far out like that. We have a few that come and go but have never really been a nuisance. I guess we're just lucky.
Once every 8 months or so I mix up some paste and nuke all of the ones I see but there's never more than half a dozen of them. I only nuke them...
I'm not sure how to get it off the rockwork, but I can comment on your "lack" of phosphates. The reason you are showing no phosphates when you test is most likely because the algae is absorbing it all to stay alive. It's there and it's feeding the algae, there is just nothing left to show up on...
I would recommend he stay away from frilly mushrooms, GSP's and button polyps. They killed my nano. Grew too fast and killed everything pretty.
He may want to try some nicely colored lobo's, plates, favias, platygyras or welsi's. They are all fairly hardy and pretty slow growers.
I'm pretty sure the teeth in the overflows keeps everything in the tank. I do have some fish and inverts in my sump but I'm using bulk head strainers to keep them out of the pump.
OK maybe it is me! I just thought the website looked a lot like PA's home page (not their store pages). They're probably both using the same homepage software.
I agree with the others. If you don't mind popping off the Parkway on your way down or back, Trop is a pretty good place. They may be a little pricey (as are most LFS') but they generally have a nice selection and the store is really impressive.
There's another place a few miles off of Parkway...
We're going to need a little more info to go on. Is this leak coming from the drain line bulk head? Did you put the bulk head in or was it already there? Have you tried tightening the nut?
Sorry, it's kind of tough to diagnose with the information you gave.
Sorry to hear that. Especially being an old fat guy myself! Hopefully you won't need surgery and you'll be able to make it.
Good luck and hope you're OK.
It's wrong I tell ya, just wrong. Thanks God it's over. I'm shocked at how awful this season was. And this finale was was the worst part of it.
Wow, speechless is right . . .
I've never seen an application where the end of the drain hose was glued into an elbow. I'm not saying it's never been done, but I just haven't seen it.
Believe it or not, there is a little flex in the end of that ribbed hose connection and a hose clamp tightens it right up.
Here some pics of...
