Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Wanted to try to point out a few things, and sorry if you know this stuff already, just writing as a response to your post.
If you can go for a bigger sump/fuge than 10g I'd highly recommend it. If you ever have a power outage, your overflow and return line in the main tank will act as a siphon...
That is about the cutest tank I've ever seen, and I used to carry guns and jump out of helicopters and stuff.
When I do pico builds or read about them it always makes me laugh a bit as, 'Thats a nice 2-5 gallon tank with a $200-400 support system.'
MInd you, my new 7g build (your old fragger)...
While you're at this stage.
Think that I hate about the scrubber is disconnecting the central pipe and hauling the whole piece ove to the sink.
Might be wirthwhile to find a simple way to hook the screen to the cross pipe so when cleaning time comes, you can just disconnect the screen.
Just a...
Make sure you get 100% silicone and read the label (some even say they're OK (or not) for aquarium use).
You don't want the ones with additives that have color added, retard mold, or allow you to paint over them.
Theres a basic GE 10.1oz tube (reddish orange label) thats about $7 at t big box...
I'm not 2 parting, just kalkwasser. I'm running a stirrer between the ato and sump.
It works well and is incredibly easy to use. I test 1x per week and if the alk drops below 7.5 I drop 1/2 cup of kw into the stirrer.
Evaporation rate doesn't seem to be a major factor as the most fluctuation i...
Ive had this thing up for about 2 years now. I think I did 2 or 3 water changes at the start but hasennt seen a WC in probably 18 months now.
Its a reject tank. Any unknown frag, unfriendly fish (theres a blue and yellow damsel) or animal (a chiragra mantis shrimp), invasive corals (xenia, gsp...
Had one a while back before adopting it on.
Here's the article that I turned to for info...

Thanks for asking D. All seems well. She's still a bit tired after minimal activity, but fevers are gone and cough diminished considerably.
Just concerned over going out over next week or two as we're hitting infection apex.
But garage is clean, tank is getting many water changes, Jeep is fixed...
Simple Sump V2 in testing.
And! I just realized I can literally take a pic for posting!
For the past many years I’ve been downloading to my computer, processing, and uploading.

An FYI on silicone.
Check the expiration. Apparently the hardening portion loses its ability over time.
36 hours after making the sump I went to test it and the silicone hadn’t hardened in the least.
Had to break entire thing down and uncured silicone is nearly impossible to remove from acrylic.
Female is on top of a frag, tail in air, scratching abdomen.
Every few seconds a very small thing, about the size of a copepod detaches.
Are these live births?
I'm in no position to start a nursery, but if raising them is simple enough I may drop her in isolation if I can catch her.
