Had to separate the porcelin crab from his anem.
In the cup, after target feeding, it's actually pulling food out of the anem's mouth, which looks quite traumatic, and the anem doesn't have as much retreat space to get away.
Anen still in there though.
Cleaning out the fish room today. Will probably be posting a a few things for sale or trade at ridiculous prices.
We should start a Coronacleaning sale/trade thread.
Also did another 10g water change and dosed Flux for the hair/turf, which is returning. Time to bring out the big guns as...
Or for asking local shops to put on countertop?
Bored and messing about for a few.
These would be 2.5" x 2.5", a unique businesscard.
Fairly cheap as well with 1,000, printed double sided, and gloss coated, would run $50.
Just a thought.
So, my wife had some of these small, glass, suction cup planters to put on the windows for 'cute factor'.
In doing some research on freshwater stuff, I found people using these things to mount freshwater plants on aquarium walls.
I thought, 'Why not do that with corals, or better yet'...
Thanks folks. WIll drop peppermints in sump, rely on files in main, avoid Aptasia-X for the moment (though it seems to have decimated the 3 I hit), and I'll see where this goes.]
OK then, I'll give hermits a run this time. Always hated the things, but...
So, do I need to pick up some extra shells with the order to accommodate growth?
And any further recommendations (aside from scarlet/red/blue) that are any better/safer/more efficient at cuc things than others?
Advice...
So, in my continuing (and seemingly winning) HA battle I did a massive tank clean today.
Of my scores of snails only a few small ceriths survive, along with a turbo thats grown the size of a golf ball.
I know a combo of snails + hermits eventually = hermits.
I do like snails, nice, slow...
Followed the directions and waited till it took the syringe in, then blasted it/them. It let the syring go and I continued basting until the entire thing was covered.
Now I have 3 small nubs in lieu. Although, as Dave mentioned, I'm sure theres 100 more about.
Also, fyi, I have 2 files in my...
Just curious what everyone is doing to kill any quarantine time.
Both Carla and I are laid off, so I'm keeping busy, as is she, so we don't kill each other or the kids.
Tank is getting a 10g change a day, cuz, why not?
Continuing Space 1999 model build, a link which I'll update tomorrow...
Happy B-Day!
My son's was the other day, he was devastated that we were under quarantine.
He got better as we made an R2-D2 cake from scratch and items on hand.
Hope you made the best of yours as well, under the circumstances. :)
I have 2 large files in my display, so not too worried.
My sump, now that I'm digging around in it, is infested.
Cant get a file in there, going to go the fuge with peppermint route and hope they wander the sump looking for food.
Found a bottle of Aptasia-X and went hunting.
Found 3 of the %^$%#^s that were big enough to grab the needle.
Unfortunately there are about 8 small ones that are totally out of reach in the sump.
May have to buy some foam and put it between the skimmer and return sections then grab half a...
Running a waterfall on my 110. To be honest, if phosphates are under control it works a little bit for me and I'll clean it occasionally at best.
If phosphates are running high sure, the scrubber works, at the same time the rocks in the tank are working it too, so I have a scrubber and rocks to...
Looks like you've got a lot of nice pieces getting set in there.
Just be sure to use a turkey baster to blow through the gravel at the bottm pretty much daily. Those rocks pick up a ton of detritus and can cause problems overnight. Ask me how I know :)
I'll try to get a vid up tomorrow of my...
