That really looks nice Matt. Glad the plumbing worked out. That's always the nail-biter part of the whole project . . . "OK plug it in but be ready to UNPLUG IT QUICK!"
I wound up cutting off all of the drain caps and replacing them with regular PVC caps. It was kind of a PITA in some spots because I didn't leave myself a lot of room between fittings (like the end caps of the manifold). In those cases, I had to painstakingly try to remove the PVC from the glued...
Wow, that looks great Chris! Great job! Have you finished peeling the PVC cement off of your hands yet?!? I think I just got the last of it off of mine. . . .
Don't be so hasty to return those extra PVC parts. I have two huge tubs of them. I contend that they're not left-overs, they're...
Hmmm . . . You know what's strange? If you fold a map of NJ in half, our house is right on the crease yet popular opinion is that anything south of the Raritan River is South Jersey.
So since we're displaced citizens, we're invading your thread :P
Yeha Bob, that's my plan too. I've got a lot of things going on right now so I'm not sure when I'll get to it though. I'm hoping mid to late April. It's so bad that the tank is still sitting in my truck a scant 5 weeks later!
Nice work. I can't wait to see the rest of the pics and I'm really glad you figured out the problem. You're gonna love doing water changes now! Last week we did a 170g change on Monday and then another 150g change on Friday. We completely drained the sump and fuge the first day and the frag tank...
Hi Chris, let me go over this again when I get home to see if I spot anything that could be causing your problem. At first glance, it appears that it could be a result of the skimmer output but I think that would be more in the form of micro bubbles. Large spurts of bubbles is a little strange...
Today (3/25) is the last day for the March apparel group buy. I'll be locking the orders thread at midnight tonight. Please place your order in this thread.
As a reminder, we are offering the following items:

Short Sleeve Tee Shirts (Blue, Maroon and White)

Wow Bob, that looks like a great setup. To answer your quesitons, I think the flow through the three 1" bulk heads would be simple to be set up and adequate for your use. I also think the lights are really good for the system. It sounds a lot like what Brian has on his 180 (although he has 10K...
Actually, I much prefer threaded bulk heads. They give you the ability to take things apart and try again without having to cut the PVC. This may be a silly question but I'll ask it anyway: Did you use teflon tape on the the fittings you threaded into the bulk head?
Sam, don't be nervous about...
Wendy, I have a couple of different size bulk head fittings. You're welcome to one if you want it. We're going to be at the meeting all day today so I won't be available until tomorrow. If you want to try to find one today, you can run down to Aqua Oceans on Rt9 in Toms River, just south of Rt...
That's cool. Is it a portable Sirius unit? It looks like the Inno for XM. I got one of those for Phyl for Mothers Day last year. They're really nice. Congrats!
I didn't get any one big thing this year. I got a PSP game, a few DVD's (Family Guy Season One, Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story and...
