Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Maybe I missed it but I'm surprised there aren't any reviews for Aqua Ocean's in this forum. I was just there and picked up a couple of really nice fish.
Here's a quick review of the store:
Physically, it's kind of small. There aren't a lot of pristine, beautifully maintained tanks. Instead...
We had a similar experience with cyclopeze when we first started up our 65. I don't remember the specifics but I know it wasn't good and it was related to feeding too much cyclopeze. What I do remember is pulling out the filter pads and they were completely RED. Hmmmmm . . . OK maybe we did...
My initial thought was "D'oh, I paid too much!" But when I went to that site and checked it out, shippng for 1 unit was $13! Shipping at the place I ordered from was free.
Are you talking about this? http://americanaudiocenter.com/8chanpowcen.html
If so, I'll let you know. I just ordered 3 of them. Hopefully, they're good.
Chris, good luck with move. I'm sure we have some buckets you can borrow, plus some 40g garbage cans, plus a spare one of those 55g white drums. I also have a bunch of Mag pumps and tubing you can use if you need it to help move water faster. We also have a spare 30g tank, 15g tank and 10g...
OK, on the subject of batteries, why isn't there a SINGLE A either? Why don't they call Double A's just A, and Triple A's just B? That would make more sense to my Monk-Like mind!
Hmmm . . . since you don't see bubbles near the intake, that would make me think one of two things:
There is a vortex that happens periodically sucking surface air into your line
There is a leak or something between the sump and the pump that is introducing air into the system
I've also heard...
When you say "down-up-down", do you mean the water goes under, then over then under? Or the first baffle is down (causing the water to go over the top), etc? I'm hoping it's the second way and that the water goes over the first baffle.
Also, can you actually see the bubbles in the sump being...
Bob, I've found it's a little easier on the nerves to cut thicker glass. It takes a little longer but I don't feel like the smallest twitch is going to shatter the panel.
I've used a dremel with a diamond bit in the past and it's worked pretty well. It was only used to cut small circles...
Welcome to the NJRC forum, Kevin. It's great to see another diver among the ranks! And hey, if you need any help with some chapters in your book, let me know. I could certainly fil in any blanks you may have!
To further complicate this issue, "Bah Bah Black Sheep" has the same tune too!
Also, why do they call them apartments, when they're all stuck together?
I have to do some research on flow rates. The main reason you step up to a larger diameter pipe is to minimize flow loss due to friction. On the other hand, there has to come a point where the weight of the water in too large a diameter pipe offsets the gain of the reduced friction (if that...
