I know this threads a little old, but I was moving some rock around in my FOWLR tank and found a little crab from a group of them I threw in back when I had the eel. I tried to see if I could find it again without moving all the rock again but no go. Its only about a inch, Smaller than the...
I got 2 of these for my 75 gal. I'm happy with them. They're cheap and shippings free.

I tried this in a 135 gal and it didn't work. I've only ever heard of it working on rare occations and in much larger tanks. I think theres a guy on RC that has a bunch in a tank but theres more nems than clowns. But he got them all real small and introduced them all at once.
Here's...
Those things can be monsters when push comes to shove. I remember when I had a FO 135 gal with HA all over the rocks and back glass. Took 2 of them a little over a week to mow through it all. I also got 2 starving ones from the LFS, so that might have helped.
So the rock that has been "bleached" and dried is a definate no go? The dry rock I have bought in the past doesn't smell at all and is bleach white. I guess I'll just do it in incraments as I only have a 5 gal bucket at the moment. I'm half tempted to take the rock I have now out and do a step...
If you can get to the foot, I've heard of people using an icecube to make them detach.
Also do you feed it, it may prolong its death until you can figure out what to do.
This is the only way I've ever done it. I just use a eye dropper as to localize where the water is going vs a baister. Always worked well for me. Just if they look like they are deep in the rock just shoot it directly in the whole as to make sure you kill the whole thing.
Also love the nems. :)
I use to have a couple 1'+ bristle worms, but I think they died off or were eated since I have a pistol shirmp always snapping awat at something and I don't feed as heavy since I'm heavy SPS.
Invert Update
Just a small update. So my Cleaner shrimp has decided I'm a big fish and comes over to my hand to clean it when I'm doing anything in the tank.
Also still not 100% on the status of the Coral banded. Found a freshly shedded skin today but still no sign of the actual shrimp...
What if I do it at say 10lbs every other week? Would this work out? Its hard for me to cure it because I have very limited space and the misses might get upset if I have a bucket with water and rocks just sitting around.
Another option I thought of was to take the rock out of my FOWLR tank...
I want to add more rock to my tank. Reason being is most of my rock work doesn't even come halfway up the tank, so I want it to come up to about 3-4'' from the top. I figured I would add about 50lbs of dry rock to the tank. What I don't want is to have a mini cycle or for anything to leech out...
