    Should I be worried???

How big is the fuge and how much head space do you have in it (distance between the water level and the top)? Depending on the size, it could be suppressed CO2, driving your pH and Alk down. Just a thought (probably not a good one!)

    I could be a contender!

Me and Mr. Peabody are gonna have to get into the "Way Back Machine" to find those memory files! The only skit I remember from back then was the one with the raging drunk who insisted the airline hold the plane for him. After a rambling dialog he is asked what makes him so special. To which he...

Need Opinions: WHAT FISH FOR FRAG TANK

OK, when I started reading the post I thought "A copperband, a six line and some sort of tang", so we are in complete agreement! Those are the same fish we have in our frag tank (sans the CBB, which we had but it just disappeared one day).

    Tyree Purple monster raffle

I'll just donate the $5 to the club and bring along a previously RTN'd stick to save myself the time, trouble and worry about keeping it alive!

Dive Certification (Express your interest in a class here)

Ouch! (says the PADI certified diver! :)) Getting a whole crew certified and doing the Belmar Basin over the summer would be a lot of fun. I'd even suggest a party dive on one of the boats in the area, but it has to be PERFECT conditions or Phyl and I will Chumming!

    Glass Drilling

I have acrylic baffles in my glass sump. I used standard Type I silicone and it seems to hold pretty well. I had heard the concerns that it may not adhere well, so I used a good bit of silicone and so far so good.

    Backup Power

Here is a link to back-up system. Battery Back Up We had kicked around the idea of doing these as DIY at a meeting. Unfortunately, meetings have gotten so large that it doesn't seem to be the best forum to take on such a large project. If anyone understands the circuitry part of this and wants...

    February Meeting 2007 Recap

Hey Billy and Jenn, thanks a lot for opening up your house to us for this months meeting. We had a great time. It definitely had more of the feel of BIG Party than a meeting. Your tanks look great and man those colors are sweet. Your basement system is very impressive. Everything is so neat and...

    Need help with refugium!

We had a similar setup a while ago. The way we plumbed it was to have the 10g fuge up on a small platform so that it was a little higher than the wet/dry. I put 2 bulkheads in the fuge (one about an inch higher than the other to act as a backup) and ran 3/4" vinyl hose back to the W/D. I placed...

    We're expecting !!

Congrats! Sadly, most likely all that's gonna come from those eggs is a good dinner for the rest of the inhabitants. We had a pair of skunk cleaners that "fed" the tank on a fairly regular basis.

    Refugium Questions

Yeah, you could use regular spade bits and go with the threads on the outside.

    New Website

Hey Rev, Thanks for the feedback. You can adjust the size of the font yourself. If you look on the top right, there are 3 letter A's. Click the one on the right and it will bump all of your fonts up to a larger size.

    New Website

I'm not sure when the gallery will be in place. Until then, maybe you could use Photobucket. That seems to be the site of choice for posting images.
