Dan's 150 Rebuild

That's what I thought, just wanted to double check. That acid stuff that u guys always talk about, is that messy? Can I do that in a conjoined back yard at my townhouse? I have lots of dogs that take walks back here so I don't wanna pose any threat to anyone else

Little update. To make life easier for me, I've decided I'm not gonna break this tank down 100%. I just realized I don't need to. Here's what I'm going to do.

My main problem is where the overflow pipes come down inside the stand, they're "leaning" against the corner braces of the stand and that makes me nervous with the bulkheads. So stupid me, didn't realize I could just drain the overflow chambers and take off the plumbing and then shave down the stand as necessary. Buy new bulk heads and voila!!

I'll probably still drain the tank a bunch for when it comes time to put starboard and my rocks back in but I'm glad I kept the tank running. Its been in the dark for almost 6 weeks now. Temp is way down too as I took the busted heater offline.

Do you think this has killed my ICH problem?

I don't quarantine so sometimes new fish will come in with ich after a few days. But I never lost a fish because of it. The ich is gone after a few days. So I never worry about it. Fish get healthy then ich is gone. That just my two cents. Of course all my fish are common and cheaper ones.

Different topic but I hear ya. I just meant since I had ICH in this tank, and its been running empty for the past 6 weeks, is it finally gone?

I believe in the theory that ich will always be on a fish it just rear its ugly head when the fish is sick or stressed. So in a sense you will never get rid of it.

I agree with it always being in a fish too. People are always saying to let a tank go hypo for several weeks so I was just curious if people thought it was gone or not.

Generally it's recommended to run the tank fallow for 8-10 weeks to be rid of ich. Obviously the longer the better.

So it appears I've been scammed again on RC. Paid $225 to this guy for a year old mp40wes and he said he was going to ship out on Tuesday. Well Tuesday is here and no word. Won't answer me it appears. So if he doesn't answer me by tomorrow morning, I'll have to open another dispute on PayPal. Ughh why me?? This is twice in a month span.

I might be in a similar situation as it seems but for something else. I always pay the fees, just in-case. especially from people i do not know. I did get a tracking number though, but its been 3 days with no activity on it.

PayPal is good with there guarantee so I'm not too worried. It really is just frustrating though.

Yeah, i always wonder what happens to the fraud though. is Paypal just out of the money or do they do an investigation? lol

why don't you look into the Gyre for $299? seems like it could handle the 150.

Paypal always sides with the buyer. They will bank account just take the money out of the account that have linked with them. If you don't have the money in the account they will just put you into the negative.
