How much GPH should I have going thru my sump? Right now I think I have my return pump setting on 3 of 6 and its like still water in my sump. I'm afraid if I ramp up the pump, it'll just make everything louder

Just looked it up. It says there's a bare wire and a Neptune compatible wire. Both can be used with an Apex but I think it says the bare wire is used with a breakout box? I'm confused, which should I consider getting?

if you aren't planning on using any switches besides the ATO, go with the apex wire.

the bare wire is for people who want to use the Avast Marine ATO but also utilize the breakout box for other switches.

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for, but Aquahub (www.aquahub.com) sells all ATO stuff. If you are looking for the entire control, they sell kits. If you are simply looking for a relay, they have all that. Hope this helps.

I was just wondering if I can plug a jbj ATO into my apex and be able to use it no problems? I was under the impression you needed a BOB to use an ATO?

Dan if you go the BOB way you would just connect the Float Switchs to the BOB and not use the JBJ system.
You can connect the JBJ to the apex but you'll just use it as a outlet only the apex can't control it other then you turning it on/off manually.

Ahhh gotcha. So a breakout box would be the better route? Less equipment??

Plus it has a total of 6 channels which will allow you to add float switch to your skimmer cup incase your skimmer cup fills you can have that float switch send the signal to your apex to turn off the skimmer before dumping all the gunk back to your tank. . Also allows you to connect a switch to your sump door and alarm you that someone open it. Endless things you can do with a BOB. That's the way to go Dan.

Awesome, I'm glad I just had my LFS order me up one. Looks like I'll have an ATO set up sooner than later :) now I just gotta get a wireless bridge for my apex so I can continue programming this thing.

does anyone know how long you have to wait with weld on #16 to use with water again?

I sealed up a corner of my ATO just as a precaution but wanna fill it up so I can hook my ATO up for now since my smaller tank was sold.

Whats a really good fuge light? I'm not sold on the Lowes clamp on light, my chaeto took forever to grow in my old sump so I'm not sure it'll suffice for a few different types of macro
