Dan's 150 Rebuild

You got it.

If you look at my manifold I glued up the main parts then I use an adaptor to switch to threaded. This allows me to easily switch if I decide to change things up. Though I'll admit the threaded part are a PIA.

Tank is painted :)

Sorry John, I stole your design to the T Lol

Now I just gotta get fitting for the tops and get some flex hose and I should be ready for this move :)

Nice, I'll be switching tank soon and I painted both tanks black, you won't regret Dan, colors are going to pop out, I might have to do a manifold too.

Thanks Juan. Yeah I like the black on my 90 so I just stuck with it :)

I didn't glue anything together yet, just kinda getting it set up for the move. I have to get something so I can mount that underneath my stand.

Making another trip to Lowes on Monday for a few things. Gotta return some stain that I didn't use and get refunded for being double charged for a brand new pair of PVC cutters. Lol

Do you guys think I need check valves in this system?

Well I have 2 installed on my 90 but that was for back siphon when the system was shut off. not sure if I'll need it for this tank since its a glass holes overflow rather than a built in overflow

Then you just have to adjust the return nozzel so not too much water get back syphon to the sump.

Def skip the check valves. The GH overflow with only go to the bottom of the teeth and like Juan said just raise the return nozzles to a point where the water that drains back won't overflow the sump.

Home Depot or lowes should have them dan. In the plumbing isle you see brass fittings and nylon fittings on a wall. They're mixed in there

Okay I looked last night and couldn't find them but then again I was there for an hour looking at all the other fittings Lol gotta go back anyways so I'll look again

You will see them. They are over by the tubing. Big board full of adapters. John Guest fittings I think they are called if you can't find them ask one of their lackeys... They should know.

I have some odds and ends here if you want to look through them when you come for the frag. I also have a lot of PVC fittings/valves you might want to take a gander at.
