Dan's 150 Rebuild

You could always get a 2 or 4 channel timer, but you would have to do some electrical wiring. You might want to think about a controller as when you start even buying timers and power strips/extension cords you are almost in the same realm for a little extra money.

You could use 2 timers and 2 power strips. Plug the strips into the timers and use 1 for blues one for whites.
yeah that's how I have it now but with only 2 lights(waiting for my 3rd one to arrive) its just too bulky. plus I already have 1 power strip under my tank that's full lol
When I started I just did as Kevin explained. Two timers and two strips. Done and done.

But a controller may be to this day the best money I've spent in this hobby. I started with the Apex Jr, and it was great but after about a year I upgraded to the Apex lite after finding a good deal.
I know many have there preferences, and most will suggest either the apex or reef angel. But I can't say enough about the Apex myself.
sounds like what I'm gonna wind up doing.

I'm not really a DIY kind of guy sadly. especially with electrically stuff Lol

I think im leaning towards a reefkeeper lite plus... Would u guys recommend anything higher? I would obviously need it mainly for my lights and that's 6 plugs so definitely a minimum of a reef keeper plus.

Just a heads up the PA buy is coming up at the end of the month so you might find a good deal there.

They make digital timers with dual 3 prong. It's your most simple, cheap solution, if you don't want to invest in a controller. Those are your 2 choices, plain and simple.

Here is my dual digital timer, 3 prongs.

I use an Apex, but all the other controllers can do the same thing for the most part. The Apex for me was easy to setup and get running out of the box and when it came to price all seemed to be close in price after I added all the parts I needed.

Currently Apex Fusion is out of beta as well, and will makes programming and access easier and is free currently.

yeah I'm up in the air, don't wanna buy a cheaper one and wind up just upgrading it later. might just go big and forget about it lol

this is what I have now and I wanna avoid these bc they're too bulky and take up too much space on the brick. definitely looking towards a controller

Seems like its a good buy but I was looking around for reviews and a couple people say its outdated. MarineDepot.com has it listed as discontinued so I think I'm gonna stay away from it.

Finally got my female BT trigger!! I didn't take a pic of her tho. She's a hair smaller than the male and they're already swimming together :) here's my other guy tho, super excited about him!
