When I use to frag acros if I used too much glue to the point where it would touch the skin of the acro then they would recede a bit until stable and then encrust over the glue

maybe that's the case then. I did load up on glue bc I had it going into a weird crevice. wanted to make sure it wouldn't go anywhere. I'll see how it looks tomorrow. if I have to I'll just chop it up.
Woke up this morning. The flesh has peeled off a bit further on the unknown acro I have. I'm gonna cut it in half when I get home tonight. Red planet looked the same.
My new dilemma... My lights that I just bought won't work with any controller(ramping up and down). I've just been told that Reef Radiance is releasing a new light, the DM-155C which IS controllable by apex(not sure if it is with RK and RA). Still waiting to hear back from Rick at RR.

Okay. Is an Apex really the way to go?
I like it...from what I know the fixtures you have are 0-10v dc so easily contollable vis apex. you will have to do a little diy wiring but nothing major.
I have had a reef tank for 25 years now and got an apex in the last year....I still do not know how I made it this long without one. having said that though other controllers are just as useful and as good as the apex.
I'm considering buying an Apex now. Not sure yet. Still gotta save up regardless lol

Might be leaving the mechanic business and getting a job at UPS with a friend. Not sure just yet though.

Anyone have any ideas why my tank is still cloudy? When I look thru the side of the tank, its very foggy. I run carbon in a reactor. Running pellets also.
