Dan's 150 Rebuild

I may get him, a lot of people r saying if they're well fed, they tend to not pick at corals and I feed my tank pretty well so it may work. Not positive yet tho.

I have had angels coral beauties and Atlantic pygmy and while they tasted everything they never did any harm. They just go around picking everything. I feed well.

Yeah, I'm just worried its gonna munch down on some of my expensive stuff :/ I had a Koran Angel before(I know, bad move) and that was very short lived. Got rid of him in 3 days after he devouring a few of my zoa colonies lol

Alright, let's put the angel on the back burner for now.

What's everyones thoughts on a UV Sterilizer? Heard it really helps with water clarity?

i don't run a UV Sterilizer. just skimmer in a sump with rocks and sand .Rock and sand in display tank.water is crystal clear.

Yeah that's pretty much what I have, and I've added a filter sock as of recently and its gotten slightly better but its still a little bit cloudy.

I just added one last weekend. I cant say that my water is much clearer but I havent had to clean my glass all week. I used to have to do it every two days. Going bare bottom on the other hand had done wonders for my water clarity.

Yeah I have a feeling it may be bc of my sand. I have the Bahamas oolite sand. Really fine stuff. Always getting tossed around by the fish and powerheads so maybe that is my problem. Who knows

Not thick enough to build sumps with. You will probably have to get it via mail order or locally you can get it from Northeast Plastics in Center City or NE Philly.

Gotcha. I didn't even think about the thickness. Good catch Mike. I probably won't do it but who knows.
