Dan's 150 Rebuild

I don't know the specs on them. I just know the alternative reef makes them. All I did was googled "alternative reef wrasse den".

...and the problems never end. I believe my yellow tang has fin rot. I did a little light reading and the 2 number 1 causes are poor water condition(which mine is ok) and not enough green in their diet. Is this true? Any advice? uploadfromtaptalk1410205451786.jpg

Tangs need a daily supply of algae? Do you feed time algae sheets. I feed one sheet 2x a day for my four tangs... and its gone in 50 seconds... between the angels and tangs

I do feed em algae sheets but not as often as I'd like to. I guess I better start feeding them more often.. Do you think that's my problem?

or the one and only crushed coral with underground reverse filter that PaulB uses. Since Paul is probably the only person to pull off his version stick with one of the other three.

Sissies. Dance

Dan honestly you're tank has had so many changes in the past few months I'd been inclined to let the sand be for now or at least gradually remove it. I've made multiple changes to my tank at times and it makes it difficult to determine cause and effect when issues pop up.

U read my mind. I was a lil worried of that too. If I do it gradually I think I should be fine tho. Take a lil out here and there. Do u see any issues with that?

I think that would be the better approach. Vacuum it out periodically when you change you water.
Sounds like a plan. I may leave some sand in the back of the tank behind the rocks. There r some areas I won't be able to get too so that may be enough for the wrasses

What wrasses do you have? The mystery doesnt need sand nor do fairies ir flashers. Im getting one of those wrasse dens for my leopard.
