Sorry to hear that. If I lived closer I could help you. I did my plumbing by myself and only one small leak.
I am not a plumber but make sure put primer and cement on both parts and twist it a little bit when glueing. Just my 02c

no big deal thanks for the offer though.. i still have to figure out which pump at this moment.. Bax, how where you going to mount the Lumenarc 3's? right to the underside of the canopy or lower? I tried everything i could think of and even building the canopy over taller i still dont have enough room for the Lumenbrights. I'm getting ready to order some Marco Rocks maybe and A ice Cap 250w eballast

I have a very tall ceiling , so Iw as going to usea completely different canopy for the LA IIIs.

I was thinking in your set up, that the LA minis might fit. They are only bout 5.5" tall and cover a 2' deep tank very well.

A little update.. there's about 100lbs of Rock ~maybe~ in there. I'm still in a Diatom outbreak but it is starting to subside. Most of the Rock Is FIJI at this point.

now for a FTS

Do you have your skimmer running on that yet?

sure do! and that's why my diatoms are starting to be history.. i just needed to keep the water level in that section stable so once i set it up there were no more adjustments needed. I'm going to order a auto top off system and use my spare 10 gal tank just for that.

The little Evil Damsel is no more.. He got too close to the mag18 and could not swim fast enough.. Actually made the pump seize. i took it apart and now it works so.. RIP

AAAAANNNNNDDDDD ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST.. the mag18 ate 3/4 of the condi while i was looking at it.. one second it was there and the next poof.

new official count..

Technology/Pumps = II VS Animal Kindom = 0

maybe its time for a new pump?

i got a mag 24, want to buy it? ;)

pm me a price for S&G, but i don't know now that water sure does rip through the sump just with the 18 and new plumbing.. i'm afraid the glass baffles are going to break

Edit: I do need a Little pump for water changes if anyone has one they would ship..

More updates ;D. i'm going to try and borrow my uncles nice new Cannon Rebel and take some pictures tomorrow.

~Stock list so far in the tank~

pair of hippo tangs
1 sailfin tang
pair of Yellow Tangs
Pair of Bangaii out of 4 (CB of Course)
Trio of Flame Firefish
2 out of 7 original green chromis
1 serpant star
2 pep shrimp
1 hungry Fighting Conch

~New goodies on the way~

CB Pair of False Percs
Pair of Green Clown Gobies
Fire Shrimp
Cleaner Shrimp
50lbs of Marco Rocks
Porcelain Anemone Crab

That will be a nice grouping of tangs in that tank. With those dims, it is definitly built for the open swimming room they need.

More updates with pictures this time..

Not sure if i totally like the rock structure i have going since i have pieced it together with different types of rock. Some of the rock is: Fiji,Lace,Marco,Totonka,Tonga and coral skeletons. Not only that but the depth makes it hard to see where your putting it by yourself :p

Before the new rock and i hate this POS camera. can't adjust the ISO Speed so i have to adjust the Exposure time which makes the pictures dark. heres a lightened copy

A poor Mans Spin off/someone that doesn't have a tunze bracket of Mervs Nori Clip. I was really tired of sticking my whole arm in the tank to retrieve a clip. Thanks Merv :)!

What we have here is a rather large and in charge zip tie which has a hole clipped in it by one bored person at work with a pair of hole punchers. then little zipties are used to secure the clip to the large tie.

Thats enough pictures for one update. Phew!
