Thanks JRWHOLER ... I swear that deresa is the reason I have to pump my Ca Rx so hard to keep up with the tanks demand

Worst case, I'll bring him to the frag swap. He's hanging out in QT with Phyl's old Flame Angle and doing fine. He's going to love your tank and I am sure you're going to like him. Great fish, a little shy at first, but tons of personality, once he comes out, and always hanging out with other fish.
Just remember, he WILL EAT zoos, shrooms and apparently ... clams :
I've done a lot of Heniochus research lately Bill :. Scott Michael sys the Black White and Yellow ones are planktonivores, but the brown ones eat a wider variety of stuff, expecially coral. Don't buy one of the brown ones. Interestingly, they also like sea urchin tube feet!
Just finished reading your Heni research, Jim. Sorry for ll your troubles.
I've heard that withing the black, white and yellow ones there are two sub-species. One is safe and the other is not. Too much uncertainty for my taste at this point.
I looked into the Heniochus for a while, too. Gorgeous fish, but after reading as much as I could about them, I was more reluctant because most people say that even the "reef safe" ones can be a hit or a miss. And I don't want to go through what you just went through, Jim.
The heniochus is soo the boss of late. The CB always was, and still does as he pleases, but the heni will defend food from anyone! Other wise still a great tank mate to verts and inverts a like. Still cleans the YT and fox face!
They are like dwarf angels, constant rock pickers. If that trait bothers you , you can not try to keep a HB.
This is my second successful addition of an HB. I lost the first to an ick outbreak that followed the heavy cycle that occurred when I started this tank and at one point had to leave it to a sitter who just didn't follow any of the long list of instructiuons I left and I retunrned in two weeks to 5" of HA and a tank full of sick fish .... it was ugly!
I've also lost two in QT. They were fine one minute and then belly up. So theya re a bit iffy in terms of traveling and there may be collection isuues as well.
AF often has several and if you research and takes some cell phone picks of the "good" ones alon, you can really see some indicators of a better "probable" reef OK HBs.
I am a fish guy, corals are cool, but I'am a fish guy. Both my HBs have been favorites of mine. Love'em all, even the rotten blue stripped rabbit that bugged my squamosa to death ... I am just a push over for anything with fins :
