Re: Here's my 120

Sweet Bax!

The Heniochous was OK with the clams?

I really love Heni's but I'm very afraid since my tank is mostly LPS.

Re: Here's my 120

The HB (infact both HB's I've had) has been completely safe with favia, frog spawn, torch, trumpets, zoos, and nems. I've never seen it nip a clam mantle. It does graze constantly, much like my CB, but never any harm.

I have a deresa clam in my fuge now recuperating after being nipped by the blue stripped rabbit fish. But the calm was having issues and I think is looking much better after a few weeks in the fuge, I did, unfortunately, loose my beautiful squamosa clam.

Re: Here's my 120

Alright, here we go!

My ASM G4x with Sicci mesh mod just before removing it. It's been a great skimmer, I'll be using it again real soon.

My 1/4 Hp chiller, it's been working hard! A 1/2 Hp will replace it

... they're gone!

So it's all in place with an attempt to gravity feed all the display drain. I just could not balance the system flow, so I had to change it.

It is now fed by the QO4000 that was my return and I am employing a Mag 9 for the return. This is all temporary until I refit my sump and build a manifold the run my Dart as a return.

Re: Here's my 120

Your tank is a panoply of color, Bax!

Looks like you got some water on that inlaid parquet floor though, better watch out! :)

Re: Here's my 120

Hehe ... Thanks guys ...I spilled more than a little water between pulling the old equipment out and getting the new pieces plumbed in. ::)

Still have some minor piping mods to make so I can really focus on dialing in this BEAST of a skimmer! 8)

Re: Here's my 120

Pick up a Flame in a swap for frags ... Phyl, you may recognize this little guy.

Here's the Flame in QT

... what a pig! I am going away overnight so i fed him "all" the mysids he could eat, ... I finally just stopped and told him " That's all the mysids you CAN eat! " ... he's already fat as it is :D

Re: Here's my 120

Well. it's been two years this month since I started this 120. I just wanted to post some then and now pics in the same post. I am sure you've seen all these before but not together like this.

This is very soon after transfering the livestock from my 75 g.

What a cute lil' angel you have there, Bax! I just love that fish! Just don't try to put a bellus in with it! LOL. She scared at least one angel right out of the tank (and up onto the crossbrace, sadly)! The tank is beautiful, as always, Bax. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us!

Re: Here's my 120

He looks so happy. How is he doing with your coral beauty?
I'm glad he got the extra swimming space. He does eat like a pig.

Re: Here's my 120

Phyl & Jose

I am so happy to have this flame. My eldest daughter has been lobbying for one since my first 26 g tank so this one is for her. But shhhh ..... she doesn't even know I have it yet it's a surprise!

It'll stay in QT until the frag tank is up, and then it'll move there. It won't meet the coral beauty until I've QT'd a majestic and the 220 g is on line, then they'll all get a chance to party on new turf! 8)

It should be interesting as both the flame and my CB are very bold fish. But challenging introductions have never stopped me before ;D

Re: Here's my 120

I finally moved my deresa back to the display after a long rest and rehab in the frag rack of my fuge. The big lug was reeking havoc in there knocking frags all over each other so they are well rid of him.

Seems to be doing just fine :)

Re: Here's my 120

Get it going on that 180!

I am still realling from the news that my lanlord is putting my building up for sale. He's been talking about it for awhile, but we had discussed that if he waited until next year, my wife and I might be in a position to purchase the property. I thought that was the plan! Uhg! This changes everything! Buisness wise, reef wise, as well as my personal issues, it's a mile, maybe less door to door from my house! I work 70 plus hours each week so every minute of drive time takes away from what little family life I have!

Really bummed .. don't know what I'll do about my reef expantion plans, probably won't do anything for now :-\

Re: Here's my 120

Welp, no sence sitting and waiting for what ever will happen as .. it's going to happen sooner or later.... What ever that means ::)

So, two things, one, I am going to go ahead and set up the prop tank as I want to grow out some things for the 220, when ever it get set up. It'll expand my system volume too and I am running this ginormous skimmer.

Two, I picked up a trio of small lyertail anthias from AF today. They ate at the store and in QT after acclimation. (You were right Bob, SG was real low!)

I am very pleased and optomistic with these fish :D
