"If you want to upgrade your tank I want you to upgrade my front porch!"

Took me over 3 hours to move my Apex. I still have to reconfigure the outlets but for the most part its done.

I also moved my Marine Betta, Yellow Tang, & Blue Tuxedo Urchin over. I am hesitant about the Tux because I have read that Urchins cab scratch glass. ..

For the most part the tank is done. I am going to keep testing and doing more frequent water changes for now but everything is doing well(knock on wood)

I moved all of the frags over and dipped them before I put them in. I don't want to mount anything yet because I have a RBTA that needs to find a home first. I made the nem a perfect spot that I would look beautiful but I doubt he will like it. I am sure it will wind up in the back of the tank behind some rocks.
I have 12 fish in there and the tank looks empty. I am also really enjoying how deep the tank is (front to back) there is so much more I can do with the room.

I love this frag rack I got from Darren so much that I ordered smaller on online. It makes an awesome little Zoa garden

Coming together nicely Matt! Did you spray paint that ATO container black or did it come that way?

I noticed that the board you mounted the Apex stuff too has some piano hinges on the right side. Is that the side wall/door of your stand and is it made to be like a bi-folding door or something? Can't picture it in my head.

Also love the color-coded pod condos. You could claim that you did that so you can rotate them from sump to tank on a schedule and the colors help you to keep track of the schedule. ;)

PS, great job on the aquascape. Looks like you have a nice layered scape with a big flat top surface for mounting corals, lots of openings for fish to hide, and above all... it looks really natural and realistic!

I like the overflow box cover too. Should help keep out any jumpers.

It is a Kingsford charcoal storage container;)
(it holds about 7-8 gallons of water?) I wanted something black so I don't have to deal with algae issues

that board is on the left side of the tank. it isn't under the stand or attached to the tank/stand at all. the wall opposite that board is the removable one that I added to make easy access into under the stand. I just put it on the hinges so incase I needed t get to the plugs I didn't have to take the ato container out of the stand and remove the wall.

thank you for the comments and nice words

Gotcha on the container. I was going to say it was a good idea to have it black for algae issues... Only problem is you can't see when it needs to be filled.

That board is on the left side of the tank? Now I'm really confused! Looking at this pic, it appears to be on the right side of your stand, next to the container we just talked about:

Thanks for the leads.....but I think the next time I have on my stretch pants and extra small shirt showing my belly, I'll first check out Walmart. I've gotten some nice containers from them. Also, we don't have a Container Store close by in central NJ....only in Paramus and Cherry. If all else fails, I'll have it shipped. Thanks again.

I hate Walmart! I have no patience for that. You could get the acl colored on and put a bulkhead in the bottom and one up top and put a clear tube to gauge how much water is in it.

As I'm typing this I think that is what I will do with mine

Hold up Matt. First take a look at what I did on the DIY skimmate locker I made.....HERE. I simply used quick-connect elbows with some clear tubing to make a "sight tube."

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I was thinking bulkheads. But you got it. That's what I will do this weekend.

Some cell phone shots.
