It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

A while back, when they were on sale at DrF&S, I bought a ton of those Coralife digitals and have them every where. I can compare temps all around the system that way, and if a reading looks screwy, I can swap a thermometer and check it out. It makes me feel much better about monitoring temps in my system. I am not always happy with the temps in my system, but I feel better about monitoring them anyway :)

That's what I had on my 75, Bax, the Coralife digital thermometer. I know I have one of those floating, mercury ones laying around somewhere, and it's driving me nuts that I can't find it right now. I'll go look in the attic n a minute, perhaps I left it in my quarantine tank.

And thank you so much for your kind words, Matt and JR. :)

Thank you both so much. You guys/gals are the best. :)

Turned out that my digital thermometer was more accurate than the Ranco controller.

The tank's been settling in nicely, and it's nearly crystal clear now. Here are some new pictures.

And thank you all again for the continued support. :)

Thanks JR. I used several bags of Caribsea Aragamax Sugar-Sized Sand: 0.2 - 1.2mm diameter grain size, and a couple of bags of CaribSea Arag-Alive Bahamas Oolite Sand.

Wow, that looks GREAT Wendy! Congrats! Now that it's almost done, it wasn't sooooo bad, was it?

I'm sure you've been asked this a million times but I forget, what type of salt are you using?

Thanks a bunch, John. I use Reef Crystals.

Was it that bad? Why don't you ask Alex just how I was behaving on Saturday? :-[

No, seriously, it wasn't all that bad. It was worth each and every effort we put in it.

Well they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So lets see T5s, pool liner, sand. Yep I am trying to copy you pretty much ;)

LOL. Hey, I literally copied as much as I could from Merv's old 75. ;D Nothing wrong with that - as long as it works for you, right?

Wendy

Nope I just hope mine turns out as nice a copy as yours did. Thankfully I had you and Momof6 to blaze the way. It is not a surprise I am a couple steps behind you two.

Just some pictures I took and wanted to share.

I am pretty darn excited right now, because I got a hold of Stan, and we'll be picking up some goodies from him on Saturday. ;D

Your tank IS gorgeous! The colonies got so big Wendy. Are you still using Tropic Marin, or using a reactor for calcium now?

Erik

Thanks, Jim, and yes, I'm breathing again. :)

Here are some of the goodies we picked up from Stan's on Saturday.

Went and visited an old friend today, really only wanting to pick up some Blastos. Yeah, right, as if I can only get 1. ::)
