I would reccomened a slack tide at the RR bridge. I have dove there before and it is a nice, and popular, dive site. However the currents are phenomenal going through there.

There is a nice sized parking lot and an entrance ramp that makes it easy for divers to enter and exit the water.

i think a decision is going to have to made early in the morning to see how shark river is. If the vis is good backbay is a very good dive with tons of life. maybe we can put together a phone list of everyone who is going that way whoever gets there first can make the decision?

I'm not a big fan of the RR Bridge. Access is good but there's not a whole lot going on there. At least, I've never seen a lot there. I've seen tons of horseshoe crabs actively making baby horseshoe crabs, but that was about it. I haven't dove it too many times, so there may be more to it but I'd still like to keep it as a last resort.

A call list for the morning makes the most sense. We should plan to gather an hour or so before the time we want to enter the water. That'll give us time to pick the location, suit up and get in.

This is getting close.. woo hoo!

I asked once before... here I go again...

How many tanks are you guys bringing to dive with?

Sorry Brian, I'll probably bring 3 - One each for Phyl and I and one extra.

I called UDI today and they said they don't stock slurp guns. The guy I talked to said he'd see if he could get any in within the next day or so. It didn' sound too promising but you never know.

Are we diving regardless of weather conditions? I would really rather not rent everything and then not use it...

weather os supposed to be beautiful so I wouldnt worry so much about that. The wind patterns and visibilty may be another story though.

I'm still up for giving it a shot as long as the weather is OK. Zero vis has never bothered me before! :D

Considering I only have about 10 dives or so, in pretty much perfect conditions.. I will need someone to hang around me just in case I get lost down there....lol

I only have about 10 hours too. We can tie a rope to each other.LOL. John, If you can't get a slurp gun, I just ordered 2 from my dive shop. I just had to pay the extra overnight shipping (more than the gun) so I'll have an extra one. I didn't know which one to get so I got (2) 27 inch. One has a 3 inch mouth and the other has an 1 1/2 mouth. Let me know. Mike
