Jason,

I believe tanks are $20 bucks. $13 to rent and $7 to fill. I am not sure how much a suit is. I would probablly say $40 for everything.

You think just a shortie will be OK? I was testing out my gear last night by swimming around the pool. I had my full suit and it was really hot. I'm a big boy and I don't do so well in the heat! I'd much rather be very cold than a little hot.

Also, we should probably start a new thread to get a headcount and phone numbers for whoever plans to be there. Since we're not sure on the exact location I wouldn't want to leave anyone behind.

John,
I prefer long suits for protection against jellyfish and blue crabs. However it is all up to you. I think you would be fine in a shorty if that is what you prefer.

So what time and where do we want to meet?  I'm guessing around 9:30, but Eric, it's your call.  Also, we need to find a good meeting place.  Maybe we can meet for breakfast first and discuss the dive plan over some geeeeeeeeezzzzzzzy bacon and eggs  :-X

I bought a 7mil John and Jacket.. (or whatever it is called...lol)

I didn't end up getting the same one as you John, I ended up getting it from where I got my other suit from. www.scubatoys.com

I really like their service, and price is pretty good too!

I'll be going with a 2mil full suit and hope it's a sunny day :)

What's the address of the deli in belmar?

John, is the extra tank you mentioned bringing available? If not, I'll have to stop in my local dive shop tonight.

Sorry Rob, Phyl and I used about 1/2 of that third tank in the pool. It's availble but needs to be filled . . . so it doesn't really help a whole lot!

I copuld use the address too. Or just a street and nearest landmark. I will be up that way tomorrow too and would like to get an idea as to where I am going.

I have a 10 foot seine I can bring just to play around with.

I am also going to bring my 6.5mm wet suit that shrank on me. It is a size large in case anyone needs it. I will also have my weight belt, mask, fins and snorkel in case I decide to snorkel some. If not it will be available for use.
