It depends a lot on the lighting as well. My example would be i bought a gold torch, when i got home it was mostly brown, but after a while is starting to get it's gold back.
I would recommend not placing this over the outlet on the wall. might seem like common sense but after the stand goes up, you no longer see the outlet and might forget about it. One day my skimmer decided to overflow, went down the wall and onto the outlet, heard a funny noise and saw smoke...
Don't use ro/di for this, get the solution. For 6 months i couldn't figure out why my coral were slowly dying, found out my reading was 1.022. I also calibrate it before every use, as it does wonder from time to time.
I have an outside airline running to mine, i'm assuming this is hopefully just the break in, as i have the exit valve for the skimmer wide open and it's still flowing into the cup. I feed the tank in the morning, after that it seems to skim fine all day and right around lights out it decides it...
Rock is covered with i would say 100+ heads of zoas, purple center green skirts. Free to go, though i wouldn't mind a trade for a frag. The only catch, the rock has bryopsis on it. You can do a half tank water half h2o2 dip on them, i've even squirted h2o2 directly onto zoas without issue, to...
Looks like 5ml in roughly 140-150g of water volume doesn't seem to affect the corals at all. i'll probably keep it there for a while and maybe up it down the road depending, i'm trying for two doses a week but depending on what happens today, that may or may not get scaled back.
The side effect I was going for was raising my ph with an outside airline. The reef octo just couldn't do it enough for me, air draw on it was about 800lph, this one is 1800lph, the ph increased about .15 overall after it's been run in for a few days, and with the certain type of algae I have, I...
Best bet is to run the back up heater about half a degree lower, say your heater kicks on at 78 degrees, run the backup to kick on at 77.5 and have the alarm trigger at 77.7 or someplace in between.
I would just run carbon for a few days, if they nuke the tank the fish are usually first to go, since they are swimming around I think you'll be fine. The size of your system probably helped.
i think your best bet is to try and find reviews on different sites for them both. Thats usually how i figure out what i want. I was actually looking at the savage 11/111 trophy hunter xp myself for target practice in both the .223 and the 30.06, great reviews, though i don't think they make it...
