Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
The stand was level before adding the tank, is the stand still level? What part of the tank are you leveling? Top trim is ok, but always check the bottom glass for level. Top trims can be a little off. Plumb the tank to confirm. Also esure your using a good and decent sized level.

[B]Scenario 4: Short from hot to neutral or grounded body of an external device:[B/]
Under this scenario for all cases you will be dependant on the breaker. If the current is high but the breaker is slow on acting there might be a fire. The use of an Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter instead...
I'll throw my hat in the ring...
Gp's and GFCI have two different functions. I personally don't use many gp's, but I would never tell someone not to use one. Just always keep return pumps on a separate circuit from everything else... That is the best advice I have.
This is the best...

I'm sorry, but your are incorrect.
The small white foam is exactly what your looking for. The "nice and rigid" foam is polyisocyanurate at a 6lb density. Polyisocyanurate at 6lb density has a compressive strength of approximately 130psi. Expanded polystyrene at 1lb density has a compressive...

It wouldnt hurt to try. We had a customer who had a similar issue and was reimbursed for about 50% of his losses. He did however need to submit receipt copies for fish and corals he had purchased.
Run flex pvc then. You should consider up sizing the vinyl if you definitely want to go that route. You are losing approximately 300gph (30%) currently.
You are correct. It isn't the pump, but the impeller. I have yet to see a swc160 that will restart after even a 1/2 a second power loss. It is a wonderful skimmer, but everytime you lose power or unplug it you need to lift the skimmer out of the water till the impeller spins. I currently...
Does the end of your drain lines have slices or holes in them or are they just fully submerged? if theyre just submerged you probable have some back pressure building in your drains. No need to retrict your drains! especially with $40 plumbing parts.
You need a valve on your shortest return line...
