Couple quick things,
The bulkhead coming out of your gh kit, make sure there isnt paint behind the flange.
Definetely use flex pvc out of the 90s from the bulkheads, all it takes is one bump to be a problem.
I agree to move the valve, not sure what return pump you are using, but you should be...
Sorry didnt respond sooner, we dont look in this forum often. We have three 400w pendants and ballasts used here. They only have a couple of months on them. They are mounted on an aluminum sliding frame with t5s. You can have the whole thing cheap, just pm us if interested.

Buy a "schedule 40 bulkhead" from a lfs or online. (less than $10)
Buy a small piece of appropriate pvc from hd or lowes. ($3)
Buy a coupler of appropriate size from hd or lowes. ($0.50)
Install bulkhead.
Cut pvc to length and attach to durso with coupler.
Stick durso in bulkead.
If needed...
Im having a hard time wrapping my head around that durso. Is there a gasket on the "nut/ female" side? Nothing short of luck/salt creep will stop that from leaking. When you tighten the nut you are stretching the gasket.
Gaskets do not go on the wetside... they go on the flange side regardless...
Just punching it in the calc looks like your at a safety factor of 4 on the bottom and almost 8 on the sides. Min bottom 18.93mm with .26mm of deflection. With 1/2 on the sides you only have .35mm of deflection... but going with 3/4 would minimize that.
Fwiw, drop the vinyl and plumb up 1" right off the pump. You will probably double the flow you are currently getting. You probably can run 1 or 2 of the reactors then.
Why dont you just get a sink attachment like this http://www.americanaquariumproducts.com/images/graphics/leespythonpump.jpg as it creates a vaccum directly to your sink.
