Added 2 Eheim Jager 150w heaters and a Lifegard Big digital temp alert to the equipment list. The the Jabao return pump should be here by the end of the day. The tank is still @ OIA, so no pics yet.
Yea. I’d give you the one I have, but it’s obviously a much smaller pump than yours. Most of the equipment for my 10 gallon nano, I will give away or sell real cheap soon.
Thanks guys. Going to go the jebao rout. Leading toward 2 4’s. At the price they are, if they last a year or 2 and fail, I’ll through it away and buy another. The tank can go a day or 2 without a power head. I can’t justify the MP 40 right now.
Good monrning. I am looking for opinions on power heads. On a 36” long mixed reef tank. Is there a significant Benefit to running 2 small power heads, over one large one? The cost of 2 small units is much more than a single large one. They will be controllable, so they can be dialed up and down...
Just dropped off the tanks @ Ocean Image Aquatics. He is closed on mondays, but he was at the shop, so I was able to drop it off. He will do the drilling & plumbing. We decided to add a reactor to the sump which was not originally planed. The minimal cost of the reactor, and its potential...
I am in the process of upgrading from my first reef tank, (10gallon) that has been running for a little over 2 years. It has cheap reef lights that grow softies fine, and required lots of water changes and maintenance. So far I have purchased a 40 breeder, a 20L for the sump, stand & a reef...
Thanks. It im glad to hear that is perfect! I have never been able to get a skimmer to work consistently in my nano reef, so I wanted to get it right in my new system.
I am getting started on my 40 breeder tank with a 20 gallon long for the sump. I bought a slightly used reef octopus XP-1000sss protien skimmer at a pretty good price. It is rated for a heavy stocked 75 to a lightly stocked 125. I have plenty of room in the sump. Will the skimmer be effective...
Neon dottyback is still doing fine. Not bothering anyone in the 10 gallon nano. I’m pretty lucky. He’s might have stopped bothering the snails. I haven’t seen it bothering them in a few days at least. He will be moving to my new 40 gallon that I bought yesterday @ the $ per gallon sale...
