Hi, I have 2. My tank is 48x24x24. The spread is fine. As many of the reviews says, their are shadows at the edges, but I like that.

I have the phosgone running into the nutrareef but I may up the dose. GFO, water changes, Phosgone, and algea farming on the weekend. I will beat it soon!! I think taking the rock out and scrubbing will be the last resort at this point.

Sorry to hear, I too am battling the GHA, but in time it will pass with water changes and GFO. We know that algae needs a source of food, so something has to be contributing to the phosphates/nitrates. While I don't dispute the use of the Hydrogen Peroxide, that is only treating the symptom...

I think you need to determine what kind of drain your going to use? If using a Durso or siphon, herbie or bean animal, that will determine the size pipe you'll need. If you go siphon, you can use 1" flex pvp for must situations, but you'll need at least 2 for herbie and 3 for Bean animal...

What is the alk on the new salt water? You might be shocking the system if you tank is at 7 alk and then you do the water change with water that is at 9 alk. By the time you test it, it at 8. Not real numbers , but just a theory. I think this is why many people advocate continuous water...

My first skimmer was a swc, great skimmer, I hated the pump. After my 2nd time replacing it I gave up. Went to R Octopus, and now using Life reef which uses any pressure pump.
