Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Hi and welcome to NJRC. As everyone else has said, don't heistate to ask any questions. There are a ton of really friendly and knowledgeable people here.
The tanks looks like it's off to a great start. Hopefully you're keeping an eye on all of your parameters and making sure they all stay in...
Nope, never used it. I've used Tropic Marin Pro and Reef Crystals mostly. I also tried a few buckets of Red Sea. I've seen some degree of sediment/residue with all of them.
Shoot, she beat me to it! The big advantage we've found with plastic dust pans is that they usually have a hollow handle that allows any water to pour out the back while you're scooping up the sand.
Congrats Matt. I'm looking forward to pulling together another club dive this year. Maybe we can all do a trip to Dutch Springs some day (once the water warms a little!).
The fact that the box got to 43* makes me think this claim is getting a little old. You should contact PayPal pretty quickly and explain the situation. Hopefully the seller will do right by you but just in case they don't at least you'll know where you stand with PayPal.
Just a word of caution, using this special connector never worked for us (actually most of the stuff he recommended didn't work, but that's another matter). I would suggest that you don't waste your time or money with that idea. It gives you a false sense of optimism that leads to frustration...
Sorry to hear that Lou. If you want to replace them, check out TFJ Pet Center. They're a sponsor of ours and I think allow you to pick up right from their location in Toms River, which will save you on shipping.
Rats! I already printed name tags. I guess I better keep the printer on. I have a feeling I'm going to have to print a few more before the nights out!
Those are some amazing raffle items.
Welcome to NJRC, we're glad you found us. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need. I'm sure someone here will be able to answer them for you.
Dr. Mac (aka Pacific East) does offer some sort of discount to club members (which is different from forum members). Unfortunately, I'm not sure...
10g is generally accepted as a good size for a QT tank. Larger is better but for a fish that size, 10g should be OK. Put a few PVC fittings in it for the fish to hide in and he should be OK.
