Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Well I'm one step closer to my upgrade, so my 45 cube officially came down today.
Before I spend the time, cleaning the tank, I would like to know if anyone is interested in it.
I will include the stand with internal plumbing (less the pump), tank with GlassHole overflow.
All for the...
Couple of things.
You can control the entire apex unit from the controller. So there is no need for internet.
On all your programming, the Fallback should be set to what u want the apex outlet to do upon start up. If you put in the following on one line : fallback ON - the outlet will...
Thank you to everyone for the input. I think I'm going to go with the Sicce Syncra 10 for the main reason it can be run in the sump. Given my luck with bulkheads, that is 1 less thing to go wrong.
I'm trying to decide between the Panworld or Iwaki. Anyone have any recommendations on manufacturer?
The 2 models are:
- PanWorld 150PS-MD55R External Water Pump - 1100gph*
- Iwaki MD55RLT Water Pump (Japanese Motor)*
Both have similar output and I need something which can pump up 1 floor...
That sucks Paul, but I think the worse places to go are the carrier store fronts. It's probably too late now but when you get the phone at an Apple store, they unpack it, get everything working for you and make sure you have access to your email, web, etc... WEP is a pita, but it's no...
I've used Tripp lite for many years, I've been reading about filtering technology now.

The founder holds a few patents which others license. It's a non MOV method.
Sorry to hear about this.
Years ago, I had a surge created by lightning which blew out a number of my dimmer switches and a radiant floor heating controller. All the dimmers, had a streak of black where components blew up. After that I installed a whole house surge protector. It was pretty...
Will have to consider that in the future, but I do like being able to remove them when needed, instead of cutting them out. These have always been with GlassHoles supplied bulkheads, so I'm not sure if they use cheaper ones. The ones I typically replace them with seem heavier duty.
I did...
I think I have the worse luck with bulk heads as the first ones I install always seem to fail on me.
Today, I noticed a small drip coming from my return bulk head. It has been running fine for the last month with no issue. But sure enough a hair line crack formed. I was very care on the...
This the hedge guy on RC? That build is ridiculous. It's more like the house is being built around the tank.
I find it amazing that people would spend thousands on a build, and cannot spend less then $100 to get a QT tank running to protect the investment.
If no one is close, I would suggest running to a Home depot or Lowes and getting a Brute trash can or 2. You can transfer everything in there, with a heater and powerhead, maybe air stone and keep every thing for a while.
I wish I could do a 340, but 100 is the biggest I could fit. I'm having them deliver it with a steel stand as well, I was floored when the wood stand came out more then the tank to build on the quote. So I have some woodworking to do when I get it. I can't wait till I can get it. I would...
The tank will only be around 100 gallons, so 700 gph is plenty. It will be from the basement to the first floor so I'm going to guess 11 feet would be plenty. Even if I lose some flow, that should be ok. I'll have to look into it.
Slow build update:
Architect plans - Completed. Contractors walk throughs will start next week.
I have my temporary tank holding area up and running and been migrating items. Will have to find a free weekend to move the entire content of the DT.
CTC has ordered the material and started...
