I run chemipure elite in my Biocube 8 and was running it in my 20L when I had it set up. It's a good thing to have in the smaller tanks. Having the GFO helps when you are not running a skimmer on little tanks.

Yep $4 for just a 1-1/4" coupling. Got a S-80 cap and short 8" section of pipe. They wanted $15 for a 1.5" T-fitting and that is where I drew the line. Got a 1.5" S-40 T-fitting for $2!

Grey PVC is schedule 80 however, it sounds like the same problem I have with my reef oct skimmer, the parts and fittings they use are metric.
I am turning down a schedule 80 Inch fitting at work down to the correct metric fitting size to work with the skimmer.

Titanium is the first choice in corrosion resistance but a good quality 316 would be a cheaper alternative. 316L has a lower sulfur content and is easier to machine. What are you planning on doing or making?
