Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
You might want a little more flow in the reactor or keep an eye on it and watch for signs of clumping. I had slow tumble like that and wound up with the solid mass of biopellets in my one reactor.
Expect food, lots of drinks, and meeting a lot of people that should be goin to weekly fish and coral addiction meetings, not just monthly fish meetings. :D
Bring money if you would like to participate in the Frag Raffle. There will be some really nice frags at this meeting, thanks to Darren...
It might take some time. I have some sps corals that have had somewhat of a rough past. They went from a tank with inadequate PC lighting, to a tank with LEDs and some bleached while others were still browned. Since putting them in my 65 in November under MHs. 2 of the brown ones are starting to...
That is the problem, you kill the adults but if there are eggs they will hatch and you will be right back where you started. It took me over a month to get rid of them. It involved nightly watches and manual removal with a syringe every few days, weekly dips, and looking very closely at each...
According to reef builders it will be four 10ft tall tanks stacked on top of each other.

Looks like a Current USA Sundial HQI. Hmmm... might be able to use this for spare parts for some of my Current fixtures. Timers, fan, switches, ballast, etc. If no one want the fixture as a whole, I'll take it for parts.
After a year I would just start over. Pull the rocks out and put them in a bucket with new SW. Throw out the old sand and buy some new sand. Fill the tank with fresh saltwater and re-aquascape your tank with the rocks. Add some bio-spira, let it cycle and you will be back in business in no time.
George, He only has a 12 gallon nano so I think a MJ-1200 would definitely be over kill on his little tank. Plus the heat generated from the 20W the MJ-1200 puts out might cause a heat problem in his tank.
For larger systems or running two reactors the MJ-1200 would be the way to go.
Since you are in the Instant Ocean family of products, and the point of the water change is to bring the Mag levels down, you might want to pick up a 50 gallon bag of IO. Reef Crystals has a higher Magnesium content than the regular IO.
What brand of salt do you use? Other than waiting for the mag levels to come down on their own, a water change or two might be a good idea to bring down the mag as long as your salt isn't high in Mag. The key is the Kent TechM, like Mike said, whatever the secret ingredent in the Kent is kills...
TLF 150 reactors use 1/2" ID tubing. A Mini jet 606 doesn't have nearly enough output for the reactor. A Maxi-jet 900 would be a much better choice and will work with the 1/2" tubing.
