Looking forward to seeing pictures. Cycling the tank even seems longer. I'm on day 4 and it's killing me.
Well I'm not expecting much of a cycle to be honest. Yeah I'll have to wait it out but hopefully it'll only be a couple weeks as opposed to a month or longer. Ya gotta remember I never took this tank offline since I emptied it of rock and livestock.
Can't wait to get home to my Gyre that came in the mail

Not too worried about it tho, once the rocks are all in you'll barely notice. Also should have went with a length of 35.5" instead of 35". Now I have 3/4 of an inch on each side that are open :/ Little worried about detritus settling down there.
This stuff is really light too. I had to put a couple rocks in the tank to hold it in place. Really wish the tank was empty.
Also set up my Gyre today and messed with the settings. Right now I have it on alternating mode at 50-60% per side. This thing can really turn some water.

Any criticism on the starboard? In a few days all the rock will be in so I wanna make sure before its too late

I just walked by my tank and realized the water was very cloudy. Even with the lights out. I turned on the lights and it looks like a cloud is in my tank.
Is it bc of the 3 peices of rock I put into the tank to hold down the starboard?

I started unpacking the rock today, hopefully I get somewhere with the scape. All of the rock still has a hint of vinegar... Think that's going to matter? Its not strong but if u hold the rocks right up to your nose u can smell it

So the cloudy water is from a bacterial bloom from the vinegar. Vinegar is a carbon source. It will clear up, and will not hurt anything.
Glad to hear that bc there's a lot more rock that has to go in so my tank is going to look white for a lil bit lol
Any fish in the tank?
Not at all... Just some macro algae in the fuge

Hey.. That bacteria bloom can easilly become cyano..... I would Rise the rock and add a half bottle of tap water neutralizer OR...... Lay the Rock out in the sun to evap that vinegar. If that Vinegar is seeding that bloom it would be deep in the rocks and feed that bloom for a WHILE.
When u say awhile, how long r u thinking? And would Cyano still appear if the tank is in darkness?
