Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Congrats. That's one heck of a feat. Unlike the previous two posters, I've always been waaaaayyyy too lazy to even contemplate anything like that, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the significance of it!
Sorry for your loss Dave. I'm sure she really appreciated having family there with her through the difficult times. It is very commendable that you were able to be there for her and help her to a better place.
Strange. I haven't seen that. But then again, I only feed Rod's like once a week; maybe twice.
Personally, I like it because I can break off just the amount I need and feed immediately. I just hold the frozen chunk in the water and the fish chow down as defrosted pieces float away.
Yeah, that was back at the time when I was eager to try out all of the new products. I waited a long time to get those first generation pumps. I probably should have been more patient . . . . hmmm seems to be a common theme is this hobby!
That's great. I'm glad they stand behind their products. I wish I would have known about their return policy. I've thrown away at least 4 K4's and 2 K3's.
I would certainly go after JBJ if it's only 2 months old. As far as the Koralia, that's the reason I've replaced all of mine. They just die for whatever reason. Sometimes you can "kick start" them by manullay spinning the impeller but a lot of times they just die.
It's hard to tell from the picture but is your top rail sitting ON the supports or attached to the faces of them? If it's not sitting on top of them, I'm not sure I'd trust the screws alone to hold the weight of the tank over time.
Thanks Doug and Erna! Your house and tanks are great and we really had a good time. I wish we could have stayed longer but I'm glad we got to spend a few minutes with everyone.
