looks like something may have picked at the head, possibly to get food out and pissed it off a bit, looks healthy otherwise. all the other heads look fine as well. Nice colors.
Tomorrow is sump cleaning day, and i'll figure out a way to keep the water moving in it so debris doesn't accumulate, i had to put a powerhead in the overflow as it was turning into a pile of crud on the bottom.
It's a bit high on it, i was never concerned with alk though at this point as my...
Tested my instant ocean mix and turns out i'm showing .07 phosphates in it. I switched salts as of today and will see if this new salt helps. My last round of tech m did not work, i'm done with trying it, i'm going to see if i can't manage it. I'm pretty sure the salt may have had something to...
Sorry to hear that, i have a purple fire fish in mine i've had since my first saltwater tank 3 years ago, that fish is bulletproof, i'd like to get the regular firefish as well as some dart fish in there, assuming they get along.
maybe get a small soda bottle, cut and invert the top and stick it back in to make the trap, weigh it down with some rocks and put some food in it, and stick it in front of his hole for the night, might work. I've caught many shrimp as well as other snails and inverts doing this.
90 gallon would be a bit small, i was hesitant with mine since it's still only 4 feet but he did well in there, i just wish i could keep him, i'm torn between corals and the fish, corals are probably going to win as i want some i can put in the sand.
I've had him for i'd guess around 6 months, he had no issues at all with sps, hammers, torches, but i switched to all lps and he has taken a liking to the acans. doesn't touch any other corals in there, just acans and the scoly, so he will have to go unfortunately. Eats anything you put in the...
I suppose, but it would be a longer process, and wouldn't kill any spores in the water or anything on the powerheads and in the tank or sump. All i would do is dump the hydrogen peroxide in, it will leave the system within 24 hours, i'll probably have an ammonia spike, i'll dump in a bottle of...
been a while so i figure i'll update a bit, everything is still doing well, but the bryopsis is getting on my last nerve at this point. I'm doing another round of treatments trying to get rid of it at this point, but if all else fails, i may be looking at some type of reboot to get rid of it. My...
Thanks for the offer, i'm holding off for right now for a bit and deciding what i'm going to do. My tank is starting to look like an overgrown lawn with this bryopsis.
