they sell those flexible pipes that you can install where the water returns into your tank, from there you can bend it to put water back into your tank near the top and it won't drain 8 gallons out.
Wouldn't see an issue with it, if you are going for substrate though, you are better off with large grain sand, the crushed coral usually traps a lot more detritus as the gaps between the pieces are larger.
I feed all my lps, i enjoy it, lol. number one is an orange digi, two i can't be sure but looks like a maze brain or possibly a favia, 3 looks like some type of encrusting monti, 4 is a pink birds nest, 5 looks like a hairy mushroom. Red fans are feather dusters, leave them alone, they are good.
kept going on and off? i'm guessing you had some random power in that 5 minutes? I don't know of a code, but the easiest way i can think of would be to plug it into a small UPS. You wouldn't need much to run it for a considerable amount of time as the draw is minimal to keep it turned on. Also...
Well, everyone is still good, accept i can't seem to find the female mandarin. starfish is roaming around, same with the lettuce nudi's. scallop is trying to find a spot it likes. Bryopsis seems to like water changes, one thing i'm noticing though and i'm going to let it go at this point and...
just remember, they get to be a foot long, and will be aggressive to each other or other tangs. i have a 135g 4 foot tank and i personally wouldn't put a hippo in there, i probably would want a 6 foot tank at least for their final home. full grown they will be 1/4 the length of the tank, won't...
usually it's 1ml per 10 gallons, i started with 2ml per 10 gallons as i was familiar with it. I've dosed it all the way up to just about 1ml per gallon at one point with no harm to the fish, i can't be positive if i had corals in the tank at that time or not.
This may or may not help and i have no hard evidence, but i've lost two battles with ich. Each time it took out half to 3/4 of my fish, between the disease and transfer to qt and all that good stuff. This third time, i took my time and did the qt to try and prevent the disease from showing up...
Everyone is in the tank and moving, first good sign, lol, i'll see if i can get some better shots later. I believe the mandarins are already pecking at the food i just put in there, i'll keep an eye on their bellies, love these fish. I'll target feed the scallop tonight with some different stuff...
two a150's will definitely need supplemental lighting if you are going to go for corals. 4 bulbs would work, i would go for two blue plus, one purple plus, last one would either be another blue plus or true actinic, personally i'd go with actinic. If you aren't worried about corals, no...
The powder brown i had did not get along with my kole tang and eventually i had to sell him. Good looking fish though, I'm also glad i picked up a nem, same as yours, they add some nice color and motion to the tank.
