Kinda getting sidetracked but how strong of lighting do you really need over a coral qt tank? I have a 29 gallon tank laying around that used to be my sump.

Unfortunately I don't have a separate qt for corals, just fish. Been thinking about adding one but the $ for the lighting keeps holding me back.
I'll drip iacclimate in a bucket and add dip like you suggested.
Excuse the newbie questions but will the colonies be dipped before they are fragged? Is the plan just to frag them and not mount them? This will be wild collected colonies right? Show we expect some browning as they adjust to our tank water? I want to make sure I'm prepared with what I need...
Has this been I'd? From his description and the photos it sounds like it might be dinos. Which are a whole different beast to deal with. I battled them for the past few months.
ThatGuy, does it look like long string with a bubble at the end? Does it dissappear overnight and then get worse...
Ok let's just see where it goes. I'm flexible all of next week. If it goes into later the following week I may run into problems since I have to travel towards the end of that week.

Anyone ever try just hooking up an apogee sensor to a volt meter instead of buying a par meter? I came across a thread on RC about this a few weeks ago. I may try it one day.
There's a West Marine or Boaters World on 73 just below Church Road that has a decent supply of boat hardware. Like you said the SS is pricey. You could also check out Jamestown Supply's website. They tend to have pretty good prices.

Not without hacking it up. The outlet tube extends downward to a few inches above the bottom of the reactor. I could probably rig something up but then it probably wouldn't fit into my sump. It's really not a bad reactor I just think it isn't a good fit with the ecobak pellets which seem to need...
