Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Welcome to NJRC. We're glad you found us. I think you'll find we have a pretty solid pay it forward philosophy too. As far as LFS's in S. Jersey, I'll let some of the others chime in. There are a few good ones but I'm not sure where they are in relation to the area you're moving to.
Be sure to...
We have 6 green chromis that tend to school somewhat. I've heard we're kind of lucky, though. Most people who buy a bunch of chromis say that they experience some sort of attrition that dwindles their numbers down. We've had our 6 forever and they seem to be doing really well.
Hi Ryan, welcome to NJRC!
I think as a general rule you can count on a 1" drain line to handle about 600gph. Based on that, I think the 3-MDQ-SC would be OK. The 3-MDQX-SC may be too much. Another factor to consider is head pressure but if your sump is directly under your tank, that should be...
We actually do get Discovery HD but for some reason, there is a different line up on Cablevision than there is on Comcast (and other service provoders). We never seem to get the really cool HD specials :(
The way she said it was "Toe up from the flow up" but I assumed she meant floor. Who the heck knows. For someone who *wasn't* drunk she seemed a little off. I think I'd rather tell people I was wasted than have them think that's how I am normally!
Welcome Red Sand! It's great to have you on board as a vendor. I've heard a lot of good things about your store and you seem to have a very loyal following. I hope to be able to make it there soon to say hi.
Thanks for your support and I look forward to visiting your store.
We don't use any baffles, per se. We have our drain line and skimmer return feeding into filter socks. That does a great job of removing any bubbles and preventing them from getting recirculated. I know a lot of people frown on filter socks but they work pretty well for us. We have about 4 sets...
We've had so many kids come to the door that we ran out of candy and just gave away the last box of pasta. The next group of kids get to split a clump of hair algae!
What I meant is that with the mod in place, the orientation of the outflow changes and you can't use the existing mount. The normal maxi-jet piece rotates the outflow 90* and the standard mount is designed so that the the flow goes across the tank. With the mod in place, the outflow doesn't get...
That's cool that it comes with the proper mount. I was kind of bummed when I did my first mod and suddenly realized that the old one was no longer usable.
I'm sure a lot of you heard about this story but for those that didn't, check THIS out.
The best line is "For our work it's a bonus, but it wasn't good for this particular animal." Yeah, I'd say it wasn't so good . . . :(
