Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Sorry, I can't really comment on that setup. I do have a concern about the tank, though. That size tank is going to be very difficult to aquascape. It's so narrow that it would be hard to make it work for one sided viewing. I hve no idea how you'd going about stacking rock to make it work from...
Happy Birthday Debbie. Thanks for all of you help "behind the scenes"!
If anyone has ever wondered how meetings just seem to "happen" month after month without any hiccups, that's all Debbie! Keep up the good work.
Francis (sinkingbeach) had a 170 or something like that with huge chunks taken out of the corners. The thing looked terrible and still worked for him for years. I think Renee actually has that tank set up now.
Ya never know, it may hold, it may not but it's worth filling just to check it out.
I'm not sure. I guess it all depends what the pumps and hose were used for previously and if they are SW safe. For the price of maxijet and 20' of 1/2" hose I don't know that I'd chance it. That's just me and probably explains why I have a dozen spare pumps and enough hose to top off your tank...
Get a pump and some hose. A mag 5 or 7 and 3/4" vinyl tube would work well. If you want to go smaller scale, a maxijet 1200 and some 1/2" hose would also work.
I'm not so sure I agree with this. If you're positive that you didn't damage it during transit, I would go back to the seller. I think they have some responsibility to let you know of any damage.
It's kind of hard to see from the pic whether or not you'd have any trouble with it. You can try...
I'm trying to start a grass roots effort to make it the new club logo!
Greg, I was wondering how they blasted those skis off.
The thing I find funny is that while all of the focus is on the guy flying, there some poor schlub with camcorder following right behind!
You wouldn't even need a parachute Matt. As long as there's a body of water at the bottom, you're all set!
I'll take any excuse I can get to ressurect this pic
I agree completely, except I don't see it going past round 6 or 7. Hatton is a true warrior (actually, they're two of my favorite fighters right now) but Pacquiao has transformed himself into a tactically accurate ANIMAL. The guy has speed and power and knows how to finish off an opponent. He's...
That's really funny. I saw this thread here and thought "OK, that's kind of a strange post!"
Apparently, when you uploaded it to the gallery it automatically created the post. That's a "feature" that you can trigger by clicking the right series of buttons but I have no idea exactly how to do...
Reef epoxy with "crazy glue" gel mixed in with it is the best that I've found. It works quickly and effectively. I've posted the procedure a few times before. If you're interested in it, let me know and I'll dig it up.
If you're concerned about being able to keep SPS with just T5's, take a look at the Full Tank Shots in THIS thread. This tank is kept with all T5's and is ridiculous.
I'm not guaranteeing similar results because she's got an unbelievably green thumb but it can be done.
Just think of the poor sap who eventually is going to have to take that monster down! I've been a number of large tank tear downs, in the 400 to 500g range, and they were A LOT of work. I can't imagine the amount of work and mess that thing is going to leave behind.
