Red Bubble algae growing on rocks , Is this bad?

I had them in a nano for a while. They never seemed to cause any problem and then disappeared on their own after about 6 months.

    65g RedSeaMax250... I want to be a reef when I grow up.....

Ordinarilly I would agree with Jon (that you are going too fast) but knowing that your rock came directly from a well established system I think you're OK. You might be seeing a small rise due to some slight die off on the rock that occurred on the ride from our house to yours . . . ya know, all...

    Kalk Reactor Users

We have our recir pump run for 10 minutes every 6 hours. We used to have to top-off pump timed to be about the same but an hour after the mix pump (to allow the suspension to settle). Recently, OK for about 6 months or so, we have the top-off pump kick on whenever the water level in the sump...

Anyone drilled a live rock to add holes , What do you use ?

The process we use works great. The putty/glue combo sticks very well and very quickly. What you'll need is a tube of reef epoxy that can be purchased at just about any LFS and a tube of crazy glue gel. The best stuff I've found is the type the club sells (if you're anywhere near Jackson, we...

Anyone drilled a live rock to add holes , What do you use ?

I agree with the flat disk approach. If you're worried about them not sticking properly, use a combination of reef epoxy and gel-type crazy glue. This combination works great and is removable (with a little tug) if you ever want to reposition things. Look at it this way, do you think you'd be...

It may be but it sure beats all of the spam we were getting here before that measure was implemented. Sorry it causes you a hardship.

    Livequaria.com

I'm sure you'll get mixed feedback on this one. We've ordered quite a few fish from them and never had any problem. Their corals are hit or miss but fish always seem to do well.
