    Ich

+1 to Hawkeyes suggestions. There are some of us who have ich in our water (my 57g tank is an example of this). I get ich outbreaks about half the time when I add a new fish. Typically, the new fish will have "spots" within 4-7 days of introduction. If the fish has a few spots on it, on fins...

    I need fish suggestions please!

+1 to what James saix. Trop had a pair of juvinile tank raised bangaiis cardinals and a whole bunch of pajama cardinals on Friday. If you choose, you could also add some small gobies (I personally like yasha gobies and cleaners).

Where do I go from here?? What to do now???

You don't actually have to bring anything, while members can (and will!) arrange trades beforehand, there will be many vendors at the swap who will be more than happy to trade their coral and dry goods for your money :)

all corals are thriving but GBTA is bleaching why?

I use aqua vitro as well, and really like it. That said, ca is not always as high in my tank as it could be (sps suck it right out of the water) and I do get alk swings on a daily basis, we dose to reduce the extent of the swing. The alk for the newly mixed water is "correct" but changes in...

I am ready for some LPS and possibly SPS. Heres my tank, waddya suggest?

If I can make a suggestion, start small. That huge brain might be reasonably priced, but Singapore angles are not know for being reef safe and, while I hate to say this, it is entirely possible you are buying fish food. While it is true that an angel will plow through a small frag more quickly...

all corals are thriving but GBTA is bleaching why?

To get an accurate idea of the alk "swings" in your tank, you need to test at different times of the day. For example, in the morning before the lights turn on, in the evening when hey are on full blast, and an hour or two after they go out. Repeate for several days to a week. Are you dosing...

all corals are thriving but GBTA is bleaching why?

    1. Inadequite lighting, as mark mentioned 2. Temprature swings 3. Alk swings 4. Chemical warfare from softies (you did not mention softies, just lps and zoas)

    ID this Paly???

I hate to say this, but replace the rock. Pink and golds are, in my opinion, invasive. At one point I used apstatia x on polyps that were trying to grow on our spiralis. Unlike most zoas and palys, they seem to bud additional polyps off of stalks that attach to the rock in multiple places...

    Thirty 5's Deep Blue Rimless!!

We have a 57g rimless as well, we have two AI's which are hung from the ceiling and controlled with the AI controller. We set up our 57g in august. We have had some bleaching with a few lps corals we put on the sandbed directly underneath the fixture. . . Be smarter than us and don't do that...

I am not sure if we are going to be able to make the meeting, but i don't mind holding it for a bit, and we will see if you can find you someone to bring it up if we can't make it :)

    Her 20 (pics)

We just bought one when we got ours, Greg was not sure he had a true pair at the time, PM me if you want to tLk price. It is far and away one of the prettiest animals i have ever had in my tank. I loved the harlequins we had in the 5g hex, but they dis not compare to this guy.

Bird of paradise birds nest frags

Hey all, I have two small bird of paradise frags that are looking for a new home. They are each about 1/2 inch (you all know how good I am at knocking into corals), they have been in qt and doing well for at least 3 weeks. They seem do do fine under t5 lighting (what they are under now) and...

    Clownfish not eating

If you think you have a wild caught clown, call your supplier. Saying wild caught percs are more difficult to keep than captive raised is an understatement. If you want to keep that fish alive, as you know, you have to get it to eat. I'd suggest newly hatched brine as you can't get...

    Clownfish not eating

Newly hatched artemia are very nutritious; you can usually buy them at lfs. I hate to ask, but was the clown captive bred or wild caught? My wild caught clowns took about a week to wean on to frozen according to the lfs where I bought them, they respond well to live food.

    Dave’s 90g learning-curve glass room experiment

Soak your pellets in selcon and garlic that will help. Are you running carbon in the qt? It could be some hlle which the selcon should help with. Are you using any medications. Nalso the seaweed is a must for tangs as the others have said
